Blinking/Opening Mouth Movies

For a blinking animal (or anything else) start by making a drawing of something (I did a quick drawing of a dog). Save the picture to your computer then continue.
Erase the eye, and replace it with a black line. Also save this picture to your computer.
Then, you put the pictures together in a movie (Windows Live Movie Maker, makes it easy). Make sure that you make the picture with the eye closed, not stay on screen as long as the other one (otherwise it will look like it is about to fall asleep instead of blinking).

Now for the opening mouth things (or talking). You'll start off like we did in the first one, just make something (remember to save each picture to the computer).

Then, erase the bottom jaw and draw an opened mouth. Then save it to your computer.

Then put the two pictures together as a movie and once again, it is best to make the picture with the cat's mouth opened to stay up shorter. If you have any questions about anything, just leave a comment.

Video Editing

For this week's post, I decided to do a video editing. Now I know that there are many ways to edit a video, but this time I will be doing the cutting a part of a movie and pasting it onto a picture (haven't figured out how to paste it onto movies yet). You start by taking a video of something (like my leopard gecko) with a single colored background. Then make the background transparent (sorry for all the little circles, I was in a hurry). Then put your video with the transparent background onto a picture (like in the third video)

Puppy

For today, I drew (another) dog. For those who are wondering why I did not do a tutorial. I had all the pictures ready for the tutorial, but I accidentally deleted most of them. When drawing dogs, you can pretty much give them any design and having it look right.

Shadowing

Last time at art class, we learned how to shadow things. On one side (the one with the shadow), you want it to be a dark as possible. On the other side, you want it to have some light on it. If you are doing something where you can see the inside of it, you want to have the dark side on the opposite side than the shadow on the outside. We also learned about making little Xs to make it look like we didn't just fill it in. You also want the shadow to be darkest in the center.

How To Draw A Tabby Kitten

So, I made a drawing on my iPod some while ago. And I took pictures of each step. If you are drawing the cat, please pause when you need to.
